Class-action lawsuit against OpenAI

Dear Reader,

Generative artificial intelligence…

Depending on which side of the aisle you're on…

You either love the historic technology breakthrough…

Or you hate it when considering its negative implications.

The Author's Guild — the oldest professional organization for writers in the U.S. — most definitely hates how OpenAI allegedly used copyrighted material to train their models.
In a recently filed class-action lawsuit, the Author's Guild says OpenAI flagrantly infringed on registered copyrights.

Works of fiction were "fed" to AI models wholesale.

Without permission.

They pointed out how OpenAI's massive commercial enterprise benefits as a result of "systematic theft on a mass scale."

Reminds me of the $1.8 trillion (yes… trillion dollar) lawsuit by Getty Images against AI image generator Stable Diffusion.

Things could get ugly.

Then again, if OpenAI did infringe on copyrights…

(We'll let that thought trail.)

Where AI comes in handy… and is totally legal… is in finding potentially lucrative crypto trades.

Certain events spark short-term rallies in the market.

Spotting these catalyst events before they push prices up or down is almost impossible without AI indicators going on "seek and find" missions.

Cointelegraph Markets Pro is powered by several of these AI indicators.

They pinpoint events that historically drive the market.

Then alert users immediately about a potential rally in the underlying token.

Max K.
