Charities risk losing a generation of donors by not accepting crypto

We've seen the power of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology to transform the world around us. So there's no reason why philanthropy shouldn't be listed among use cases like peer-to-peer lending and e-commerce.

However, Alex Wilson, the co-founder of The Giving Block told Cointelegraph that the crypto community is still a market many charity organizations have not interacted with.

According to the Giving Block co-founder, crypto donors are some of the "most generous" - with the average gift being over $10,000! Nailing this point home is the fact that in 2021, over $30.79 million in Ethereum was donated via The Giving Block.

Unfortunately, there's still a long way to go before we see this type of donation become mainstream.
