Dear Reader,  Regulators around the globe are crusading against crypto mining. The "logic" behind their attacks is that Bitcoin mining uses as much power as entire countries.  The European Commission stated that EU countries... "Must be ready to block crypto mining." In fact, at one point, new MiCA rules would have banned Bitcoin mining altogether.  The U.S. is not far behind in supporting such attacks.  The Biden Administration recently proposed a 30% excise tax on mining operations.  Their argument is that crypto mining power consumption slows down the transition to Net Zero.  None of these tactics will stop Bitcoin in its tracks.  But they sure can mess with the price.
